Goal Weight
Well, it's been almost exactly 7 months since my surgery. This morning, I stepped on the scale (like I do everyday) and I was one pound under my goal weight! I stood there, and just stared at this number. A number that I never thought I would see on a scale again. Coincidentally, I also had a follow up appointment with my doctor today. He and I celebrated this accomplishment together. We walked through all the great results from the weight loss...no more diabetes, no more high blood pressure, no more high cholesterol. I know that I still have a long road of maintenance ahead of me, but I wanted to take a quick moment to celebrate too. Big thanks to this group, who has helped to keep me informed and motivated. I might not post everyday, but I definitely read all the posts everyday!
