G'morning all!

QJB - exciting news!!! So very happy for you. Enjoy your rest time till end of Feb, and go shopping for work clothes. I know you know I love clothes shopping, I volunteer to be your virtual stylist.

We are set for a pair of atmospheric river storms. It will be rain rain rain till next Wed in our neck of the woods. I honestly don't mind this on and off rain we've been having. Last few days were sunny, high 60s, and even some low 70s. The next few days we'll be in mid 50s. I just hope the ground can handle all the rain coming and we won't have flooding.

QOD: We are kinda house bound due to DH's workload. He is on a new project and has to finish the old ones and he is stressed to the max being lead engineer in all of them. The poor guy has a group of engineers in Bulgaria and another, for the new project, in CO. Our only trip we don't dare canceling is in April to Italy for my niece's wedding. Oh, and I'm taking advantage of DH being housebound and scheduled a trip to go to DC to see DD in March.

My meals yesterday (egg fast day 2):

  • Bullet coffee
  • Egg loaf
  • Hb eggs, cheese, egg shake
  • Egg soup, egg custard
  • E: modified weight session

Happy hump day!

We are getting all the rain too and I'm worried being so saturated already and what happened last January - it was bad.

I'm not sure I really want to know, but what is an egg shake?

If he needs me to hope up the road and yell at any of his Colorado engineers, let me know!

Haha! Will do. I gotta figure out where in CO they are. It's a new group that was assimilated into DH's group. I fell like they were victims of the Borg!

Morning! And the weather takes a chilly turn here in San Diego. Yesterday I was out and about in a short sleeve tee and light pants. But the rain is coming, and the temp is dropping. I see several trips to the gym in my future vs walking in my neighborhood. Really, walking has saved me these last few weeks. So good for my soul to be moving and have sunshine on my face.

I was 100% on food and beverage yesterday, but did essentially no exercise. My legs are trying to be the death of me. Today I am headed to the gym for some cardio and then take the aqua fit class. Then home for a quick shower and off to meet the plumbers, tilers and hot mop guy on the bathroom remodel. Things are going to start coming together quickly after the hot mop on Tuesday.

QoTD: I stay a busy girl. They say the first five years of retirement are generally front loaded with all the things. Travel and adventures and experiences that work got in the way of. And I could be textbook proof of that. I get to play host to the town for Jim and Marilyn mid Feb and some day tripping around. Home for a day and then off to San Juan Capistrano for a girls weekend that is supposed to includes some spa time, ahhhhh. March brings days in Paso Robles with my neighbors, and a long weekend in Palm Springs with my bestie. April has a week at the lakes in the rig with the grands, Arizona for a wedding and seeing my Dad and a dear buddy, May has a golf tourney for Roger and I'll be staying at the resort while he golfs, and the end of June brings the Denali Rail tour and Alaskan cruise. I have show tickets for traveling Broadway plays and dinner parties and lots of other things mixed in along the way.

Bites today:

B: leftover ham and peas and some cottage cheese

L: leftover chicken pot pie

D: Going out to celebrate my buddie's new job. I'm thinking we'll try the new Mexican place in our little village.

Peace Everybody.

Really good tasting. Remember I was putting mashed potato rosettes on top vs a crust? Roger says he really liked the flavor but missed the crunch of the crust. Plenty of leftovers since I loaded it with veggies.

Did you do a crust bottom? Or was it more like a Shepards pie?

Exactly like that. When Roger said he was missing the crunch of the crust, my reply was "this is very Shepards pie like". But it was tasty!
