What can I do for that? I am rubbing them but it's not really helping me!

They are itching because they are dry and healing.  Do not rub them!  The best thing is an bacitracin (as per the nurses I am currently working with), to help with the dryness.  Also keep your dirty hands off you don't want to get an infection...hands are always dirty!!  :) Happy healing.

I am 8 days out and I am itching like a mad lady.  I don't have a rash or anything.  Oddly enough my hand where I had the IV is also itching.  Is that healing too I wonder?  It was fine until yesterday.

I itch where the IV was because I am allergic to the tape's adhesive used to keep the IV in.  Just to be on the safe side, I rubbed it down with alcohol a couple of times during the first two days home. Because I didn't want my hands from scratching to make it get infected.

I was told by my nurse to use Cortizone 10 AROUND the incision sites, she said I could be some Neurosporin on the incisions.. But do not put the cortizone 10 on the incison site just around..

I dont' know if it is a bad thing that mine are not itching yet, since we had surgery the same day..
