Did you have a stitch put in where drain was

So I am looking at my incisions just now and I realize there is like a blueish color string in the incision where my drain was. I had my staples taken out Monday and I think they forgot about this stitch. Do you think it is the disolving kind? Gonna call my doc now

Yes, and it'll probably dissolve or you can see if you can pull it out.  Call your doc and see what they say.

When I've had dissolvable stitches in the past, they were always clear, kinda like fishing line. If it's blue, I would think it's a regular stitch. I would ask your doc or nurse if you can just pull it out or if they need to.

Good Luck!

They took mine out when they took out the drain line--which was infected! They didn't put me on an antibiotic, and I ended up developing 2 abcesses that are still bothering me 6 months out. Let the doctor take it out...you don't want to risk an infection!!!!
