You'll be amazed at how quickly it comes off! You have a lot of fluid on board... which can be good. (You'll have lots of opportunity to walk--to the bathroom-- and you'll have some reserves for the first few days when getting in fluids is tough).

Be patient, it will come off!

Congrats on your sleeve!

Sip sip sip on your water and tea, and walk walk walk.  You'll pee it off soon!

I was up a huge amount too- and it took over a week to release completely. When I came home my fingers were so swollen it was funny (very uncomfy) but I had snausages instead of fingers and toes. At least I wasn't dehydrated!!

I'm 5'6" and I gained 14.5 lbs. in the hospital. It took about 8 days to come off. Rub some lotion in your skin - it helps with the stretched feel.  I agree with the others - it beats being dehydrated!

I gonna have my surgery soon, and i hate to think that I'll gain more weight first before it starts to come off.  300 lbs is enough for me.LOL

It will come off !!! see if you can get someone to give you a gentle massage to help move fluids out of your limbs....and the more you drink, the faster it will all start moving along....sip, walk, rest, and repeat.

I gained a little over 13 pounds immediately post-op.  I lost it in 2-3 days.

Good luck,
Rosie
I got my sleeve on March 14, 2011.  I love it so far!
