dr. said everything looked great aside from me having a ridiculously allergic reaction to the steri strips which now a rash covers my whole stomach and is itching like crazy.

down 30.4 pounds since my pre op Sept. 1st visit with them.  So thankful for my new life.

He also cleared me to go from clear liquids to full liquids so I came immediately home and made a chocolate protein shake with water (drank 2 ounces of it already, I'm out of control) and some watered down tomato soup and had 2 ounces of that as well.  Was THE most delicious thing I've had in awhile!

I thought I'd only have to do full liquids for 1 week then move to purees but the dr. said due to nausea, and other issues with surgery he wants me to do 2 weeks and slowly introduce purees after that.

as hard as this may seem, i know it's only a small amount of time compared to the many years i'll be enjoying my new healthy body.  so for the next 2 weeks its protein, milk, pudding, yogurt, and soup!  i can do this!

Congratulations on your loss so far!  You are definitely right that this is a blip on the radar compared to all the health and YEARS we are gaining by getting healthy.  I think you'll find full liquids easier than clears.  I may never, ever drink chicken broth again!

You can do this!

My surgery was also on 9/29 so we are going through the exact same thing at the same time! You have a great attitude about it and you will do great! Good luck we can get through this
