6 days post-op and experiencing itchy feet
Hi there,
I had an amazingly uneventful surgery and recuperation so far (was even discharged a day early from the hospital). I've had no nausea or problems swallowing and have been getting in my fluids every day, too. I just noticed today, however, that the soles of my feet are itching like crazy, despite putting moisturizing cream on them every morning. I haven't taken any pain medications since day 2 post-op, so I know it's not a reaction to that. I also don't have a gallbladder; it was removed in 2008 -- don't know if that has anything to do with it.
I will call my surgeon's office in the morning, but was curious if anyone else has had this happen to them as well.
Thank you.
Kelly

I had this. It was especially bad in the middle of the night. I told my doc and he narrowed it down to two possibilities: an allergic reaction or liver enzyme issues. For me, it turned out to be an allergic reaction to a med I was on.
Good idea about calling your doc in the morning. Better safe than sorry.
Glad you are doing well otherwise!
