9 month update with pic
Hello OH Family,
I'm one day late with my 9 month stats but here goes:
This past month was my slowest weight loss month since surgery. I'm not sure why. I haven't changed my eating or protein or carb intake. Although, I have been retaining water. I upped my calorie intake over the weekend. So, between Sunday and today I've lost slightly over 3 lbs.
My thoughts on my rollercoaster of weight loss is to keep going and never give up--though I have my moments of doubt which led me to change my weight goal.
I orginally set my weight goal at 128 lbs according to my BMI. Now, I am questioning that number. I have changed it to 139 lbs because I used an online lean mass calculator and that was the number I would need to be at 22% body fat over my lean body mass. I began feeling as if 128 lbs is not obtainable for me. Now, I wondering if I am short selling myself. I am going to go the gym and have them measure my fat and see what my ideal body weight should be.
I have had a major NSV this month. I was accepted into U of F to get my doctoral degree. Go Gators! I did apply, but I thought for sure I would not get in--now I'm overwhelmed with figuring out how to pay for it! It is a 4 year commitment that starts in January. Once I finish, I'll have degrees from UCF, Florida State, and Univeristy of Florida. I need a new job! Anyone hiring? I'm looking at moving to the college level--professor or in administration. Lord knows I have the background. LOL!
Here are my numbers:
Total 9 month weight loss: 95 lbs
Total Inches lost: 71.3 inches
BMI: from 52 to 29.2
22/24 dress size to size 8
Thank you for being here when I need a sanity break. I hope my posts helps those who traveling the same path I have already taken. I am not a fast loser, but I am fairly consistent.
Viola

Thanks Kathy! I have missed the last two meetings. Last month, my son had his Science Fair award ceremony that was the same night. Can I brag? He is in 6th grade and took 3rd place in Physics and Astronomy--the biggest division. I could not be more proud.I've missed the last few meetings. Hoping to get back to them again either this month or January. Glad to see you are doing so well in spite of all that body lotion! LOL
