People not recognizing you...

ARGH!  Am I the only one annoyed by people not recognizing me at work?  This past week, I've noticed that a few people have no idea who I am anymore.  I'm probably just annoyed due to PMSing... but still! I think I still look like me :)  It's not like I changed my haircolor or hairstyle or anything....  Oh well, guess there are many more worse problems I could be experiencing, so I shouldn't complain...

I would probably try to shift your perspective. You wanted to look different, right? Now you do! That's a victory.

This happened to me just yesterday with a guy who hadn't seen me since August. I was really surprised, but took it as a compliment on how much I'd changed.

Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22

Well, I did change my hair color and hairstyle, along with going from a size 20 to a size 2!  I LOVE to see the reactions!  Enjoy it!

I just had my surgery, and will be out of work for 8 weeks.  So, I am hoping my coworkers atleast
notice weight loss in me by then.  They all know what I am out of work for, and I know they will be
dying to see if I lost any weight.  They are asking already if I had lost any weight yet!  Ha!  I told them
the truth I had actually gained 2lbs!  Tons of IV fluids and tummy swelling I imagine, cause it's not from
food!

It is annoying to me too.  I even got it at the doctors office. The receptionist said "she has seen my Drivers License before, but not me"...I was like well its me. Then I wondered who memorizes ID photos.

At work this co-worker walked pass me twice. Later in the day at a meeting, she said she did not know it was me...this was DURING the meeting.  I get annoyed and I know I should be happy...in some small way I am happy (but annoyed)!

Fay,
About the driver's license:  I had several people, when having to show ID comment about what a difference, congratulations, what an accomplishment, etc.  However, I had this one lady (witch) at the grocery store hand my license back to me and tell me that it wasn't me in the picture and refused to run the card.  I insisted that it was me and to compare signatures.  She finally accepted the card but with an attitude.  So now I have a  new one, which actually is great because I don't have to give an explanation or talk about my weight loss unless I choose to.

We may need to make a trip to the DMV, soon. Congrats on your weight loss!
