I was sleeved on the 17th and I feel great besides the GAS! For  some reason the gas is staying in my chest. I walk, walk, walk! I woke up every two hours last night to walk around the house, changed positions from side to side and took hot showers to hopefully absorb some of the gas. I also take gas x strips. Anyone else have any great tips, I would love to konw. My doctor said this is normal but I feel like it is holding me back.

I had the same experience in the hospital that first night. Try moving and rotating your shoulders and sleeping so that your head is elevated ( more of a semi upright position) also, that worked wonders for me, and by the day after surgery the gas pains were gome. I was sleeved just ahead of you, on Valentines Day. I hope this helps.

I totally felt the same way for the first few days. I walked all over my house at all hours of the day and night as well. I know how bad it makes you feel, but I assure you, it goes away. Try walking up and down stairs. That helped me a little. Just hang in there! Good Luck!

Ugh the gas sucks! I had surgery yesterday and that's really the only problem. Ouch! Weird how you can totally feel it coming in a wave, it crests, then goes away. I'm taking gas X chewables and walking a lot. Good to hear it goes away in a few days.
How many strips are you taking? My chewables say 4 a day max.

Try taking some pain medicine before you go to sleep at night. and to be redundant, walk, walk, walk.

Infant gas drops were my best friend in hospital and that first week home. I would use them everytime I would get up to walk, eat. breath well you get the idea
