NSV.. woot
I went shopping with my sister yesterday.. we went to Catos and was trying on clothes.. and she picked out clothes for me.. I was trying on size 18w in pants... it has been YEARS and I mean like 13-14 years since I wore that size.. and they fit.. I was ecstatic.. I even tried on some shirts that were 14/16.. and they were fitting.. OMGOSH I was floating on cloud nine realizing that I was really putting on that small of a size.. put me in an awesome mood for the rest of the day.. I am loving my sleeve and loving the fact that I made the decision to have my surgery..
I have went from a size 26-28w 9more the towards the 28) in pants to a size 18w in 6 months.. and the same in shirts down to 18w's and 14/16's now.. YEEHAW~!

I love this little dancer! It's seriously what I feel like doing everytime I read these kinds of victories! What an awesome feeling & I'm sure you'll have many more to come! I'm 6-months behind you, just got sleeved thursday (2/16), HW 336, Surgery Weight 316, and I'm looking forward to those same awesome moments. I'd love to love shopping again, but for years I've only dreaded it. Work it girl!
I'm not sure where Blanchard is, but I'm from the Southeast corner of Kansas! howdy neighbor!

I think I actually like shopping again.. I know for the longest time I dreaded shopping for clothes because I didnt like the way I looked in the mirror.. dressed or undressed.. so it was always easier to just grab some t-shirts and not worry about looking decent.. I hated how I looked and felt so I didnt care what I wore.. as long as I didnt have to face the mirror..
I thank the good Lord everyday that I was able to have this surgery and learn to control my portions and what I eat.. its been a road I have learned a lot on so far.. and I plan on learning more.. excercising more and trying to be a positive influence on those around me in their eating choices as well.. my husband has lost 30 lbs and my daughter has lost 20 so far.. I am very proud of them for that accomplishment. They eat what I eat and neither one complains... which is good.. the daughter every so often asks for something sweet.. and I tell her there is yogurt in there.. eat some fruit.. its all about choices :)
