Did anyone use a female surgeon?

There are a few big names around here that we all recognize, but none of them are female. The more I thought about it, the more I realize I've never even heard of a female bariatric surgeon. Anyone know of one? I'm starting to feel like female surgeons in general are just rare!

They are rare.

Surgery is still one field that is greatly predominated by males.

Not my surgeon - but she is the other surgeon in that practice. She seems to have a very good reputation.

Dr. Pam Foster was on my radar when I was researching.....she was highly recommended....

From what I remember she is more of a RNY surgeon?

I think so......but she does sleeves too. I had two women in my pre-op "classes" that were going with her and they were both doing RNY so maybe that is more her "niche"?

Dr. Robin Blackstone is in arizona I have seen one person so far on here that used her.

My surgeon is a woman. Dr Beth Schrope in NJ.. Very very sweet. There is also I think 1 or 2 other women surgeons in her office that perform WLS as well.

I live in Mass & I was sleeved by a female surgeon. Dr. Jooyeun Chung @ Brigham & Women's Hospital/Faulkner Hospital. There is also another female in the office. An exceptional staff.
