What other clear soups did you all try?  I just tried a strained Hot & Sour soup and so far so good.  If I drink or sip any more bland broth I'm going to scream.

Egg drop soup, strained out the egg. It was fantastic and way better than that nasty protein soup the doctor's office gave me. If I never have to eat another bite of that again in my life it will be too soon.

I made a huge pot of chicken soup prior to surgery (which helped with my pre-op diet) and strained the broth and froze it in ice trays so I would have good, tasty, and healthy broth to drink post-op.  However, I only had to stay on clears for one week.  By my second week I was drinking thickers soups and watered down purees and had no problem.  I would have been bored out of my mind with 2 weeks of clears..yikes.

Pacific foods makes a French onion one with no chunks. I got a instant miso one and strained out the chunks. Then,I was so happy when I could go on full liquids.

Liptons Dry Chicken Noodle Soup Mix, take the flavour/stock block out and throw out the noodles. This is for 4 one cup servings.  4 cups of water (per pkg instructions) and add celery, onions, 2-4 tbsp Pace thick and chunky salsa  (I like mine hot) boil till the celery and onions are cooked and add 2 eggs stirring constantly egg drop style. I even added a little unjury chicken flavour protien powder. Wait till it cools a little so it doesnt clump. At the most 1 scoop per 4 cups of water or it starts to taste like protien power  Then strain. Enjoy

Even after I got to the soft stage and could have cream soups between the taste, texture, the high calorie and carb counts I always went back to the chicken broth and at about 2-3 weeks out kept the egg in it to eat. Finely cut the celery and onions more and added hot sauce instead of salsa or just really chewed the pepper tomato pieces
