Approved on monday but kind of denied today.....

So, my hospital called today to preregister for my surgery on 4-10-12.  She needed my authorization number becausee she has it that Aetna denied me!!!  I was so shocked.  I called the insurance to clarify and they have me "approved as secondary payer/insurance only".  My primary insurance denied due to them not covering it.  So I have to do another review to try and switch it to them as the primary payer.  I know they have my first insurance's denial letter.   My hospital and surgeon appointment to get everything set up and paid is on 4-4-12.  I hope it is all resolved by then.  I finally was approved after 14 months and then had 5 days of complete and utter joy.  Then depressed again.  They said to call back on tuesday.  That is so far away!

Has this happened to anyone else?

 NO Suggestions but Good Luck and sorry your having a hard time! 

 We have AETNA.  & I'm not as lucky as you.  The company my husband works for has a wls exclusion.  WTH!  I called both AETNA and the company and both say there's nothing I can do.  Off to Mexico I go......
