A little yearly but April 27th will be my 1st Surgiversary date. I am at weight goal, I have maintained for the last 3 months between 140-143. My original goal was 150. I have been doing alot of training in the last 3 months so even though the weight is the same I have lost a little bit in inches.

April 1st was my 2nd half Marathon. Last Novemebr was my first and I walked it with a finish time of 3 hrs 24 min. This time my goal was to run it. My finish time was 2 hr and 20 min. ;-).

My best friend Helga just hugged me at the finish line and she started crying...I mean balling her eyes out. She was so proud. So of course I started crying too.

One year ago I could barely walk 2 miles and now I just ran 13.1 miles under 2 1/2 hours...wow.

Next Goals: Mud Run San Diego in June, Maintain weight, attend monthly wls support meeting, 3rd Half Marathon October....considering Sprint Tri in 2013.

It takes hard work and dediccation. Picking myself up and dusting myself off when I fall off the wagon. I know i have family, friends and my OH family for support. Thank you

Me and my new boyfriend Richard. We love to run and hike together...good influence on my new lifestyle.

Girls night out with my bestfriend and BFF.....aka my trainers and biggest supporters.

You just keep building on it. I run 2 times a week and then a longer run on the weekend. Each weekend run gets longer and long.  The longest training run was 10 mi 2 weeks before the event.

Thank you for the congrats. My toes are killing today and I am a little sore. I see a massage and pedicure in my near future. :-)

Note to self: trim toenails before long run. Apparently, its not uncommon for runners to lose their toenails. Who knew..
