How slow do you eat?  I find myself maybe eating too fast because I can get full on a slice of cheese, but I'm hungry an hour later.

I know that as more time passes, I am eating faster - but my body still tells me when it's too fast.  Also, when comparing myself to my family members, I am still a lot slower than they are.  When I eat too fast, I get full quickly - and I burp for like an hour after.  lol

I count how many times I chew something. 25-30 on most things but if it's a little tougher like chicken, it ends up being 40-50.

I eat faster when it comes to smooth foods... such as yogurt, cottage cheese, et****ep reminding myself to slow down. But today I ate turkey pepperoni way too fast... boy did my sleeve tell me I did. I have never had heart burn before... but I felt like a horse was sitting on my chest and food felt stuck for a good five minutes. Made me slow down and quick! Not a fun feeling, but a good reminder to slow it down.

“Not many of us are living at our best.  We linger in the lowlands because we are afraid to climb the mountains.  The steepness and ruggedness dismay us, and so we stay in the misty valleys and do not learn the mystery of the hills.  We do not know what we lose in our self indulgence.  What glory awaits us if only we had the courage for the mountain climb.  What blessing we should find if only we would move to the uplands of God.?  JRM
