This Time TOMORROW...

My VSG is scheduled for 11am tomorrow at WHC in DC. I have been very quiet on this board because i will believe it when I see it. See 4 years ago, i went to mexico for a revision for the band to sleeve... and woke up with NEITHER. The band had eroded/slipped and caused alot of damage and scar tissue, making the VSG impossible at that time. I have since put on all the weight i lost, and then some. It took alot for me to have the courage to try it again, and even though my whole process from initial visit to surgery was only about a month long, it still feel surreal. Especially because things have been soooo smooth! 24 hours approval from BCBS.. Dr Schedule being open... copay is minimal... i am self employed now so no body to report to.. SURREAL. I guess i still feel that there is a possibility of something keeping it from happening...

Example.. my BP was high the other day... i have been authorized to double my meds and i bought a BP monitor and have been checking it 5 times a day.. LOL! It has been completely normal but i understand that the anesthesiologist can canel if they are not comfortable with it.. :(

BUT! on the other hand!! I have my vitamins ready! I have my clear liquids, and my regular liquds, ready... i have my hair braided... and made arrangements for everything to continue as normal with BOTH (yep 2) of BUSINESSES! ( i do medical supplies and allstar cheerleading.. WHEW) I am 46 and these are the best years of my life, and i plan to be able to move around and enjoy them... the VSG will allow me to re gain my once active life, and be able to fully enjoy the fruits of my labor.

Keep me and the hands that will touch me tomorrow in your prayers. As i pray to wake up... A LOSER..

JUst keep thinking positive.  You had your rough patch and now its your turn to shine!!
