Trader Joe's haul - shame on them!!

So this morning I walked to Trader Joe's with my 6 yr old to get a few items. A very nice employee gave my son some oatmeal cookies to sample. I declined! (Yeah me). Then she asked him if he wanted to try their cookie butter. She went into the break room and came back with a sample size spoon of the cookie butter and their almond cocoa butter - like nutella.

So I had to taste the cookie butter. OMG!!! It is so tasty it should be illegal. Shame on Trader Joe's for tempting me like that!!! It is like baby angels dancing on my tongue. I may have to try a bit in a protein shake.

Here is the lowdown: (not the best choice, but a tbsp will be plenty as a treat every blue moon.)  Serving size 1TBSP cal 90 fat cal 50 ttl ft 6g sodium 0mg ttl carb 8g sugars 5g protein

"Baby Angels" -- LOL!!!

I'm planning on going to TJ's later on today. I haven't been there post-op yet - I'm afraid I be too tempted! Hoping to find a lot of VSG friendly foods. Any recommendations?

The chili lime chicken burgers are great, marinated chicken chipotle skewers, turkey meatballs, and all different kinds of sausages.

I've picked up that Cookie butter at least four times, read the label and put it back on the shelf.  I think I'm afraid of it and now it's confirmed.  My fears are real!  Thanks!

No way can I keep that in the house- a total trigger food me.  I have only in the last 2 months been able to handle Nutella back in the house for my girls.  I have to completly avoid that though- even a little gets me going in a bad direction.

My tj favs-

uncured chicken hot dogs
baked tofu teriyaki flavor
soyaki sauce
uncured bacon
everything mentioned in the above post
they have a light peanut butter that I like, but my girls don't
cheeses- nice prices there

Yeah, a tablespoon every blue moon - like I could do that, LOL!  I'd have to have it only at TJs when someone goes back into the breakroom to get me a spoonful.  If it's in the house, it's in mah belleh!

I haven't tried that. But we use wow butter. They sell it at walmart. My son loves pbj sandwiches for school lunches. But with some many allergies nowadays the school doesn't allow it. Wow butter does not contain peanuts or tree nuts. So it is allowed. The taste is great. My older kids never noticed the difference.

Yes.... that was the lower cal peanut spread I was referring to in the above post.  It is a little thinner then peanut butter, hence the girls don't like it.  I like it for dip.  Just now trying the cookie stuff... yikes is that good!

I love the little 100 calorie packs of the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies! so yummy! and I totally agree with the cookie butter, that stuff is dangerous. pre-op could've eaten it by the spoonful on the couch. now I only sneak a little when I visit my family. Dangerous, dangerous stuff!
