Waiting game

All my stuff is done, just had my last 6months check-in, now the waiting game!!! I jump every time my phone rings!!! Can't wait to be on the loser bench!!!

That was me all this week. When in doubt, call and follow up. Never hurts to be persistent...or a pain in the a$$, whichever you prefer. Mine was submitted on Monday and I was approved today.

I know right!!! Congrats to you, do you have a date yet?

 Not yet, I called the surgeon's office to tell them I was approved and had the approval code but they said they would call insurance to confirm and then call me back to schedule. So I may call insurance tomorrow and have them fax the approval to me so I can email it to the scheduler myself. I'm impatient, I admit! 

I did the same thing as you're talking about. I called the insurance company and when I got the approval I had them e-fax it to me at work then I called the dr.'s office scheduler and got her fax number and faxed it to her. They then scheduled my last appt with the dr for the preop mtg and scheduled my surgery. If I'd have waited on them it would've been another 2-3 weeks.

I know the waiting game drove me nuts! I was pulling my hair out....

there will be a great feeling when you hear that it is approved and then the excitment builds with the date. When will you start the start the preop diet and which hospital here will you be going to? I was at Desert Springs and they were very nice!

 Have you called your insurance to check the status?  That's what I kept doing and found out I was approved , before my doctors called me. The waiting game is stinky

I adore Dr Hanna, he is truly a miracle worker! You will be so happy with the results, are you seeing Joey (NUT) as well. I email her all the time with dietary questions and she has been a great resource. She suggested my getting a doggie stroller for Bella since she pokes along with my walk and I am not getting all my exercise in.  So I did buy one about 10 days ago and Bella and I are now walking twice a day. Once earlier in the AM hours with a leash for about  20 minutes which is so slow, and then later in morning I put her in the stroller and we walk for 30 minutes steadily...  I love the stroller and it's been wonderful for me, and Bella enjoys too. We have now met many neighbors and it is the best thing I've done since having surgery on 2/22/12.

I can't wait until you get a date...life changing for the positive!
