Day 2 of liquid diet and...Oh Em Gee!
I feel like my stomach is eating itself! We do all this worrying about after the surgery but holy cow, gotta make it through this first.
And is it just in my head or is this making me grouchy as hail!?!
Ok...done whining. Lol!

I can't say it gets easier but you will get through it. Head hunger is a battle you will continue to fight even after surgery. I just ate my first lunch in over 5 weeks and my head tells me that I am still hungry and to go eat more but my stomach is full and I know it because I can feel it.

Day 2 for me also. Yes I have the grouchies and if one more person talks to me with food in their hands......... Trying just to plug along and keep a little humor. I am finding that warm and hot liquids seem to help me a bit. Good Luck and I hope you have a speedy recovery!

Try adding fresh lemon to your water too, it cleanses your cells and it helps to reduce hunger.

The pre-op diet was for me by far the WORST part of the whole process.  Once you have been sleeved, you don't feel like eating for a little while.  You eat and get so full.  Pre-op, you are just not satisfied on the liquids.  The first 3 days are the worst!

Make sure you have plenty of SF popsicles and sf jello - it won't fill you, but it will at least give you a solid feel to food!

I just had my surgery on Monday and believe it or not, you will have to remind yourself to eat. The preop liquid is a lot harder than the post op liquid

I agree.. The Pre -Op diet was the worst.. if you can get past the first 3-4 days you will have it made.. I bought the Vanilla flavored Powder and then I could add different things to change up the flavors.. I just had to keep track of my calories when I did.. I am not sure what your pre-op diet says.. All of them seem to be different according to the Surgeons.. Hang in there.. you are almost there !!!

Yes, it does make you grouchy and yes, it gets better by day 3 or 4. The stomach grumbles settle, the cravings start to decrease and you''ll lose weight and start to feel better. It is a very difficult time, but well worth the time and effort. Good luck!
