Anyone used Bariatric Advantage Protein Elixir?

The pharmacy at the hospital carries this stuff.  It has 5 grams of protein in 1 tablespoon and 25 calories.  It comes in grape flavored and berry, and is a bottle the size of cough syrup.

I've never seen it mentioned here, and was thinking it might be a good thing to add to my pantry, especially in the early days -- unless the consensus is that it rates high on the monkey butt scale.

But if no one has tried it, I'm willing to be the guinea pig!

the label posted in that article says they are collagen protein...for what it's worth.

Interesting. I have my pre-surgical meeting tomorrow, and I'll ask the nurse about it.  I'm surprised that they have it in the pharmacy there, if they don't encourage people to use it -- but it's certainly possible that the pharmacy just sees, "new product", and orders it!!

Thanks!

I use the grape flavor everyday in a glass of ice water on the way to work. I am having a problem getting all my water in so it's part of my workday regimen.  It is expensive, $25.00 a bottle at my surgeon's office, but lasts a little over 6-8 weeks. I might not buy it after this one runs out.  It is thick and sweet so I add it to about 10 ozs. of water.
