My surgery was Wed. the 12th.  I'm home 2 days later and I weigh 15 pounds heavier than before the surgery.  Is this common?  What might be going on?

It is all those IV fluids they pushed into you at the hospital to help keep you hydrated for the first few days.

yes, definitely all the IV fluid, and maybe even some swelling. Give it a few days and double that will drop off :)

Totally typical. You'll be peeing it over the next couple of weeks. Good luck and heal well. :-)

It's early morning, 3 days after surgery and here I am, checking my question.  Wow- three responses.  Thankful tears to my eyes.  There's someone out there who knows and cares.  I am so glad  I found this site.  Thanks for the insight.  It helps.
