Finally it happened!

I had my surgery on Tuesday. I had the best team of people despite my serious anxiety issues. I told my anesthesiologist about my serious anxiety goin into the operating room and wouldn't u know he put me out without me knowing it. The last thing I remember is hugging my family and saying Oh that feels good as he put meds to "relax" me in my IV. Next thing I remember waking up from surgery. I had the best nurses in the hospital. I even had a nurse who had roux n y and sat with me for over an hour about her experience, advice' etc. Dr. Teel was phenomenal and I am now four days out and taking in all my vitamins and prescriptions. Still working on getting all the protein in and the fluids but overall I am doing well. I was 319 on day of preop diet start and 14 days later I was down 13 pounds to 306 before surgery. My preop diet consisted of two protein shakes a day and two lean meals a day. 64 oz of water and walked 30 min a day for 12 of 14 days. That's all I did. Now I am down 20 lbs total since I sarted this process in January. Super pleased and can't wait to see where this sleeve takes me. Thank u to everyone who posted about their journey to prepare me for mine. I will be in touch :)

Sounds as if your experience mirrored mine. I'm in total agreement, Dr. Teel in Dayton, OH is the best. The nurses at Miami Valley are fantastic! I too was really scared but I had no reason to be. I'm SO happy you had such a great experience. Let me know if you plan to go to a support group meeting. I have not been to one since I had the surgery but I would love to go and it would be nice to meet you.

Good luck, message me if you need anything!

I think you're going to find that the way you feel and your weight loss just get better and better.

If you get hit with a stall or depression, please know that those are normal and temporary, and you will feel better.

Best wishes on this new adventure!
