3 Month surgiversary with pictures!!

Whoo hoo!  3 months today!  Firstly I'd like to say that I wouldn't be where I am today without all of you on this forum. Your kind words, your knowledgeable advice, your tough love when needed and most of all your inspirational stories have all kept me on track!  Down 60 pounds today and feeling pretty great!  Hasn't been an easy journey by any means and still have a ways to go. For those of you considering this surgery, all I can say is its been a god send but be ready to work. It's no "magic" solution to weight loss and mainly comes from within you. It's a great "tool" to help you.  Thanks for listening and here is my before surgery picture and my 3 month picture side by side. 72 more to go!!

Congratulations! I'm 5 months out today and I agree with everything you said! I too have had a lot of support on this site and I too believe it is a tool. At 5 months out, I am healed so I have to work at it. The surgery helped me to believe I can get to where I want to be. It helped me believe in ME. Sounds like you have been on the same journey. Keep up the good work!!! You look fantastic!

Hi Carol. You look great!  I am in the research faze of having weight loss surgery.  I do not qualify here in the states (I live in NY) to have it,  BMI 34.5.  Am considering going to Mexico.  Would love to hear about your experience so far.  What type of surgery did you have and why, how you have felt so far, etc.  Any info you can share would be appreciated.  Thank you!
