3.5 weeks out pain while turning in sleep
I'm right there with you. If you have a recliner, try sleeping in there. I was in mine for a little over 3 weeks. Alternatively, you can try to put a pillow just under your belly to support it on your side, or another pillow under your knees to relieve pressure on your back little.
Also, consider taking tylenol 30 minutes before bed

I had a difficult time sleeping during my recovery period as well and had the same stomach pains when trying to turn while sleeping. I believe it is your staples tugging a bit when you turn. I had to go out and buy 4 more pillows and I stuffed them everywhere around me because I could only sleep on my semi-back/side. Some people recommend sleeping in a recliner. I don't have one so I had to make due with sleeping in my bed. I promise it will get easier as the days/weeks go on. Try to hang in there if you can. Welcome to the loser's bench!

I got a jumbo body pillow-- probably 4' long and tube-shaped-- to sleep with after surgery, I'd tuck it between my knees and hug it, and sleep on my side, halfway rolled over onto it. I did that for the first few weeks after surgery since I'm normally a stomach sleeper, and it helped a TON. I got one for five bucks at Ross.

I remember a little pulling pain whenever I would get out of bed. I didn't really do anything about it other than wait it out. It gets better each day. Hope you feel better soon!
