My skin has been getting itchy at least once a week. Its not in a particular area but the whole body and i feel like scratching my skin off. Does anyone else get the same feeling. I am nearly 3 months out.

For me, exfoliating took care of that.  But there was someone on here a few months ago who finally found out he had scabies.

In my case, I used a loofah and an exfoliating cream when bathing.  I used a dry bath brush on my body before bathing.  The worst was on my thighs.  Once I got rid of those top layers of dead skin cells the itching went away. I would try that first but if it does not help, of course call a doctor.

you might need more fat in your diet or more water

check for low blood sugar , these will all course dry itchy skin

My skin is sensitive and since I hit about 30, it dried out on me.  (Seriously, if somebody had told me ten years ago I'd have dry skin, I'd have laughed in their face, because it used to be super oily.)  Lotion is my friend, as is sensitive skin soap.  (I use the Dove sensitive skin bar.)

Try exfoliating, as mentioned, or maybe try lotion or gentler soap when you bathe/shower.

I also think the solution of more water and possibly a higher dietary fat consumption might help.  Water consumption will just about never hurt your skin.  Remember that your body is about 70% water.  :)

Best wishes!

Thanks a bunch. I did have oily skin earlier hence was little surprised with itching. Water could be the culprit.

Seems to be a side effect of ketosis or something else related to rapid weight loss.

It fades away as the weight loss slows down.  Just use creams and such for the next few months.
