So the NP for my surgeon's office recommended I get a fiber supplement to work on my slow bowels. She actually said I should get "bulk forming fiber." I spoke to the pharmacist I work with about it, and he said it works with water and expands in your digestive system to help keep you regular. I'm not sure if that sounds like a good idea. If I am going to increase my carbs, I should at least get some fullness from real fiber, right? Does anyone have any experience with this?
