Week One down
That is also what I lost. My doc said the majority of his patients don't lose the 1st week due to the hospital fluids as the earlier poster stated. Also pre surgery they weighed me in a gown, 1st check up I was fully dressed.
2.6 in a week sounds pretty speedy to me!

I had my VSG Thursday, May 29, and I have lost 13 lbs since then. Now, I am not saying this to brag in anyway, I am saying it because I went for a post-op today and the nurse who weighed me stated before we weighed "most patients don't lose any weight the first week so don't be discouraged." The look of surprise on her face led me to believe she meant every word she said. So, from what I have gathered from her and this site, you are definitely in the normal range and I am not. The best part of all of this is, if we both stick to the plan and do what we know we need too, we will both get to our goal. It's not often that we get to do something that we know, WE KNOW, is going to make our lives better. :)
