Bloated after surgery
And gained weight! I see it is starting to reverse now but I didn't expect this gain of almost 10 lbs. SO for those coming up on surgery and a day or two post op be prepared for this to maybe happen. It's not the end of the world, it's just your body reacting to surgery!
Whew! Glad I got that off my chest!
I am still pre-op, but my surgeon/nurse practitioner warned us about that.. i think i had better stay away from the scales at that point! :)

I am almost 2 weeks post-op and just had my first gain of 1 lb. I weighed myself everyday since surgery but today is the first time I've gained. I know it's normal though because I introduced new stuff into my diet over the past couple of days like protein shakes, milk, and mashed potatoes (party in my tummy!). I'm sure my tiny tummy is just adjusting to all of the new stuff I'm throwing at it and I will be back on track in no time. Don't panic if you gain weight. Your body is going through a lot right now so it's probably just like WTF IS GOING ON! Give it some time to adjust.
