2 Week Post Op diet
I'm not sure if everyone had to do this or it is something that my program requires. I just had my sleeve done on the 24th and I am required to be on a 2 week full liquid diet, everything must roll off the spoon and must go through a mesh strainer. I am so frustrated because I just want something savory to eat, it seems like all I can find is sweet stuff and I'm sick of it. Does any one have any suggestions?

My plan says I can have creamed soups blended smoothly, like cream of mushroom, cream of chicken, and cream of celery. I read on here before also, that someone suggested baby food, that doesn't sound too good, but it is probably full of vitamins and protein.

I'm on purées for a month, and I'm on day 9 I guess?
I'm a revision, crapband is gone, so it was easier for me to figure out how to adapt. I am having "sweet" protein for breakfast but savory for lunch and dinner. I'm adding unflavored protein to puréed soups and yes I made my own to lower calories and make them yummier but I started with premade. I am liking the Isopure unflavored for sure.
Soups I've made: chicken asparagus (but yes strained, retained most of the chicken)
vegetable (corn, peas, green beans, spinach, tomatoes)
Tomato (tomatoes, ff half and half, seasonings)
I tried cottage cheese was epic fail but ricotta with marinara would work better.
Cream of wheat and mashed potatoes are "bad" carbs but I'm allowing myself tiny amounts with unflavored protein, but I'm over the allure of them, so they're infrequent.
Just remember you're surviving and healing and protecting your new tummy and you're not alone. :)
