These are some "basics" about the pyloric valve and how it works for us and may make things easier to understand.
Boggles my mind why surgeons and programs don't explain this.

Yup! Fish is not real dense but I love some salmon....

This is not to say to only eat dense proteins.... just an explanation on how things work....
During WL I consistently lost more weight on fish and still eat fish often.
But since you/we know that fish can be less effective on closing the pyloric valve we need to be more conscious of the pre portioned amount.
Fish with some under cooked veggies is a great on-plan meal !

Thanks for that, even though I am a nurse I needed that refresher info! I am scheduled for 8/19. I had a band removed 5/22/14. I know the eat the protein first, no drinking for 30-45 minutes and chew chew chew. I was successful with the band (lost 75 pounds) and looking to lose the last 45 and keep them off.
