Cutoff time for meals/snacks
Do you have a time each day where you stop eating and don't eat anything after? I find that some days I forget to eat when I am supposed to, and by the time I think about it, it is 9 pm and I still have dinner and a snack to eat. Not eating them means I don't get my protein in.

I don't like eating after 9pm because I go to bed at 10:30 and I find that eating too close to bedtime makes me physically uncomfortable.
It's actually a reason I'm glad my plan emphasizes only three meals a day, fitting in more would be challenging for me!

I work from noon until 8:30 PM so I eat breakfast at 11:00 AM, lunch at 4:30 PM and dinner at 10:00 PM.
I have snacks at 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM and a snack about 8:00 AM.
My snacks are about 200 calories an my meals between 300-400 calories.
You have to base your mealtimes on your own lifestyle.
If I go too long between meals, I start to feel low blood sugar and weak. I cannot get away with waiting five or six hours between eating.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Pre op my binges used to happen at 9 or 10 at night and I still feel the urge most strongly then. So upon the advice of my therapist I save one of my snacks until that time and have it then, usually a yogurt or cheese. Fulfills the psychological urge and is within my plan. I wouldn't want to eat dense protein late at night because it would probably feel uncomfortable.
When I haven't gotten my calories/protein in for the day I usually resort to a shake. Maybe you could find some snacks to keep in your purse/car to head off the uh oh moments. The Oscar Meyer P3 Protein Packs make a great lunch/dinner on the go.
