Got sick for the first time since surgery

So I was having my dinner (no new foods) and this wave of nausea came over me, watery mouth, whole 9 yards.

I got sick but now I feel OK. Not sure what happened. I am also really sad as I just broke my 22year not getting sick streak.

Just wanted to rant.

Sounds like the foamies. Lots of clear liquid coming up? I isn't really foamy, but rather like egg whites. It happened to me twice when I didn't chew something quite well enough.

You might be right. It wasn't a lot of food (some though). It was just really disconcerting.

I'm 19 months post-op and just had an episode last week.  Because I stupidly tried some gluten-free pasta my husband had made.  Waaaay too much and I was miserable for an hour.  Finally some of it came up and gave me some relief.

Pasta?   Never, ever, effing again...

It shouldn't be funny, but you breaking your sick streak made me LOL as it reminded me of a Seinfeld episode.  Getting sick is really awful and i am only two months out and really scared that this will happen to me.  (Although i think it is one of those things that go with the VS territory). Feel better and thanks for the laugh!  (I am sure it won't be so funny when it happens to me).

Glad I could bring a laugh! I really don't mind it. I am just glad it passed quickly.
