B: scrambled egg, little bacon, little sausage, cheese and a couple bites of potatoes.  Yummy!

L: leftover bowl from Qdoba.  I love that I can get 3 or 4 meals out of 1/2 of what I used to eat.  (Because before I would have added the rice, the tortilla and chips and queso)

D: I'm trying a new recipe...grilled chicken with bacon paste.  What?! you say? Bacon paste?!  Yes, that's what I said.  Here is the recipe. http://hostthetoast.com/bacon-bourbon-bbq-chicken-kebabs/

Have a great weekend everyone!

I am loving it although I feel like the dorkiest kid in class. Everyone else has done it before, some for many years, but everyone is super  supportive. The instructor says it's not something that you learn overnight and to be patient. The class  is 1-1/2 hours and flies by. I will definitely sign up for the next round.

How was learning Tai Chi for you at the beginning?

Oh man do I totally feel your pain.  I'm going through this with Aikido right now - I feel so freaking clumsy and uncoordinated and like I'll remember one thing and forget 10 others.  It's pretty much this way with every new class I add, but it's even worse for me with Aikido since it's so very far outside of my comfort zone.

I definitely felt this way with Tai Chi initially.  Granted, when I first started Tai Chi I was a wee lass aged 17, so I was a bit quicker to learn and more flexible.  When I started up again after a 20 year break, it was surprisingly okay - I think because I still had it in the depths of my brain somewhere?

But I get this feeling a lot when I try new things now.  And, at least with Aikido, I'm reminded that it's considered a "20 years to master" art, so no one becomes an expert in a week.  Or even a year.  And, like you, everyone is super supportive which helps significantly.  My partner who is doing aikido with me reminds me - "they all want this art to continue, so it's in their best interest to be kind to you!"
