Hi all,

L-Glutamine has been recommended to me as a supplement that may help to reduce cravings so I bought  a small bottle to give it a try. Does anyone know anything about it?

I use CGT-10 which has glutamine in it and I can't say I've noticed a difference in cravings. When my hunger gets out of control I take a PPI for two weeks and that helps quite a bit.

DING,DING,DING! These episodes correlate very highly with reducing my PPI dosage. So As much as I want to get off that stuff, I guess I will go back to the original dosage and see if it helps.

I dug through my usual sources (PubMed, Google Scholar), and the only even closely related thing I found was a study suggesting that L-glutamine could affect desire for alcohol in detox patients. Nothing related to diet, appetite, or metabolism.

On the other hand, there are TONS of links about the supplement Google from people who want to sell you things, none with any science i could find.
