Good afternoon all you wonderful folks!

Can I get your opinions on what you feel is the best tasting and most effective protein powder to use.  I really need to get back to getting enough protein during the day and I feel like a protein shake for breakfast in the mornings is a great way to start the day.

Thanks for your help and advice!

I use Premier Protein shakes because they're ready to drink (no mixing) and I like the taste better than any of the powdered protein that I tried, plus they have only 5 carbs (3 fiber).  Breakfast for the last 18 months (since surgery) consists of coffee, protein shake, and maybe one more coffee. :)  Great way to start the day, and I've got a great jump start on my daily protein goal.  I usually buy them at Costco, online or in store.

Thank you!  I also drank the Premier Protein in the beginning and then I read on someone's post that their nutritionist said that the shake didn't have the right kind of protein in them...so I stopped:(

I really like the Gladiator shake from Smoothie King.  45g protein, 1-2 gm carbs(depending on what flavor you get) 190 calories.  It is a meal replacement shake, comes in strawberry, chocolate and vanilla.  Easy to mix-  mixes to a creamy texture with the blender bottle on the go.  And if you want to use them as a snack shake- use one scoop, 6 oz of water- you are getting around 22 gm protein 1 gm carb or less  and about 100 calories.

If you order it at Smoothie King- make sure to get it with no fruit

I can't stand Premier Protein, and I've gotten too many cases of the stuff that have been curdled.  Yuck.

I like Optimum Nutrition Double Rick Chocolate.

Thanks for your vote...I also purchased some curdled Premier Protein and don't really want to try it anymore.

I'm a huge fan of the Diesel Protein Powder. I wasn't a fan of protein powders at all until I discovered it.  Tried a lot and didn't like the majority of them.   It comes in a variety of flavours and tastes delicious.  I make a French vanilla protein coffee for breakfast and then usually have a salted caramel one for lunch.  The strawberry and cookies and cream or really delicious too.  I bump up the fibre by adding a tablespoon of Benefibre to it.
