Anyone use Dr. Christian Birkedal?

If not- Who did you use in Central FL?

I was so set on my last surgeon, I am having a really hard time finding a new one :(

I am not quite in central Florida, I am in Daytona Beach area. I am using Dr. Shillingford out of Boca Raton. 

I am in Deland, so not far from you! Boca raton huh? Thats quite the distance.. I was working with a DR in ocala and he dropped my insurance when he switched to a private practice, No heads up or anything.. Back to square one looking for a new surgeon :(

I had my surgery done in St. Pete FL at Saint Anthonys hospital with Dr. George Rossidis. He was awesome! He did mine and my husbands surgery and this Wednesday he will do a good friend of mine. 

I cant really contribute more than I have already, but I did find out this weekend there is a WLS patient get together in Orlando. Mostly younger folks from how it looks

A lot of people are coming in town from other places, but could still be fun to go meet up

Also, I have a follower who is preop that was chatting with me, he's in Orlando. His surgeon is Dr Teixeira. The users name is wa2k3 so maybe give him a message/add on instagram and ask some questions?

I called that DR this morning and they dont take my insurance... :(

This is so frustrating.

I hope you find someone that takes your insurance. I am sure that is frustrating. I am a self pay patient. I am curious to know if any of the other doctors mentioned have self pay packages.  Anyone know?

I found one who takes my insurance and is only a 30 minute drive from me.. They require a referral from my PCP so I am heading to go get that tomorrow and then I gey to start the whole process all over again... They also do a self pay package for like $10,500..

Idk if you are in FL, but they are in altamonte springs.

I would love to get the information on that dr! The closest one I have found was in boca raton for self pay, and I'm in Daytona.
