Hello! My name is Andrea. I've been reading past posts for about a month and thought now would be a good time to introduce myself and start participating. I am having VSG done on 3/21 and just started my liquid diet this morning. I started the process a year ago and now that I have been approved its going quite fast. I'm excited and nervous all at once.

Welcome! March is a great month for surgery. (I have a bias here, clearly.)

The liquid diet sucks for pretty much everyone, and the first 3-4 days are the worst. Keep your eyes on the prize and push through it. You'll get there!

Welcome Andrea.....you'll find that this group is a great support in good times and an even better support during the tough times. 3/21 is right around the corner, so enjoy the journey and don't stress the small stuff. Keep things simple and read as much as you can. Remember also that if you have a question or concern...ASK... you aren't the first, nor would you be the last to ask the same questions that have been posed before.....you'll get answers and support.

I'm kind of pressed for time right now, but didn't want your intro to sit there more than a few minutes.....I know there will be others welcoming you throughout the day (looks like Gwen beat me to it....LOL).

Keep us all posted and on 3/21 or 22 (whenever you're able to come back online) we'll officially welcome you to the Loser's Bench!!

Welcome, Andrea! That is so exciting that you are nearing your date. I had the sleeve done on 11/29/17. My surgeon had me do the liver reduction liquid diet for a week and although difficult, it's worth hanging in there as it makes it so much easier for them to have a successful laproscopic procedure. Good luck and looking forward to seeing you on the boards. There is wonderful people with a wealth of great information about VSG here!
