I have been doing chewable for a long time now. Can we have regular vitamins after vsg?

At some point you're able to take large pills again, but I'm not at that stage yet, so I don't know when. Definitely ask your doctor, the chewables are pretty gross.

Yes! The chewable ones are nasty and so is the liquid. I'm still not taking multivitamin pills yet, but my surgeon says I can progress to them at two months. Ask your surgeon what their recommendation is for progressing.

Oh yes you can! I started taking vitamins/pills whole after about a month and didn't have any problems.

Thanks! I am definitely far enough out. I will be so glad to have no more chewables.

I haven't had a chewable since about 1 month out (thank goodness - I hated them).

I was only directed to do chewable to 1 month. I continue with chewable though because I don't hate them (though I did at 1 month out!) and I don't have to swallow a bunch of different pills. I take those and I use the calcium patch and I'm done. I'm afraid I'd forget the rest of them.

I pretty much only took chewables until my initial supply ran out. There's no reason you can't switch to pills.

I picked up some regular ones. The multi-vitamin I need to take is massive, I have to cut it in half but I can deal with that. I am glad to not need to take the sugary gummies. It may not be that much sugar and carbs, but I could use those 2 carbs on something else!
