Six-Week Stall Finally Busted!

Well, I am very very happy to report that my body has finally decided to cooperate with my efforts and I have busted through my 6-week stall.  I am now officially in the 160s for the first time in a very long time!  I may be just barely in the 160s - but we are not nitpicking here, right?

For the past 6 weeks I have been losing/gaining the same 2-3 pounds and it was just driving me crazy.  I tried every variation of stall-busting strategy, including:
1.  Eat less carbs
2.  Eat more carbs
3.  Eat more calories
4.  Exercise more
5.  Drink more water
6.  Drink more protein shakes
7.  Have more sex (wait - I think I made that one up!)
8.  Weigh in after a BM
9.  Weigh in naked
10.  Pray pray pray like crazy

I am not at all sure what combination of the above finally did work for me - but I don't really care, because finally I am losing weight again!  THANK YOU GOD!

 Yay, Linda!!!
BTW, having more sex may not have helped break the stall, but it couldn't hurt either!

Wow Linda, you must have been so darn frustrated.  I'm so happy that your stall finally broke.  We had surgery one week apart.  I stay the same for 10 days, then lose a few ounces a day for a few days.  So frustrating.

Yesterday I lowered my carbs to all eggs, cheese and meat and added more protein than usual.  This morning I finally broke the plateau I was having at 184.4 for 10 days and woke up to 183.6.  I was so thrilled to see something that started with 183!!!  I can't wait to get to the 170's!

Let's do the happy dance together!

 Toni,

The reunion was great.  It was the first time in 42 years that we were all together.  I'm actually not turning 60 until October.  Two of us had birthday's in the spring and two of us towards the end of the year so we celebrated in summer when everyone could travel.  :)
