My NSV

I have not had one in a while or I just have not paid attention.
I had my lab work done today and the technician says " you do realize how much blood we are taking dont you". I said "of Course, do this every 3 months"

She then looks at my ID ( military ID) and goes "WOW, you have done amazing! You look so healthy now, in fact I had to double check your Id to make sure it was you! '

She then went on to ask how much I have lost but could not get over how different I looked from my ID picture... Made me feel very good...

Just wanted to share :)

How gratifying, Stacey! I savor those kinds of NSVs. Tracey, it will happen to you before you know it.

That's awesome Stacey.
I can't wait to get home after being away for six weeks to show off the newer, healthier me.
Yeah, kind of hard to admit I want to show myself off.

 Stacey,

Aren't the NSVs when someone doesn't recognize our ID the best?  The customs agent in Nassau did a double take when he looked at my passport.  I hadn't realized how round my face was until I looked at it.  Congrats on a great NSV.

How wonderful!!  The only reason I got a new ID is that Hubbins was promoted.

I will live each day in the mindful present

I had just recieved this one maybe a year ago when he re enlisted, the lab tech told me I need to go ahead and get a new one so I dont have to present my DL at the same time. With all the extra security now, it could be an issue.

That's awesome! What a small way to brighten your day and appreciate all the hard work you've put in.

Neat.  I occasionally have to show my DL and wonder when someone is going to question if it is me.  It isn't due for renewal for years.

When you get your new one, keep the old as a reminder of where you came from.
