My first visit from "Aunt Flow" since my DS
I'm assuming this is normal, but thought I would post just to get some reassurance. Today is the first time that I have had my period since my surgery. In the past this has not been a big deal...PMS and major chocolate craving a few days before, but that is it. Well, this time I have just felt like crap. I haven't wanted anything to eat or drink all day, and I have pretty bad cramps...and totally exhausted. So, assuming this has to do with the abdomen changes?!?! (and it will get better???)
No help here, had a hysterictomy years ago but hope you are feeling better soon.

I don't know if it's physical changes to the abdomen or changes in your hormones since surgery. Regardless, pump those fluids, babeeee! Feel better.

My first period after RNY was just as you described yours. I had cramps so painful I called in sick to work one day. Constant curl up in a ball cramps for hours on end. I'm sure it was the hormone released from the extreme loss of weight. The most recent one was about the same as my pre op periods. It was only the first one that was sooooo painful.

Sorry, Mirena coil here so no periods. Plus my iron's a little low and I wouldn't want periods to make it any lower.
