Thanks! It's getting better! I had some mashed up beans last night and they tasted really good! I have trouble with the idea of some stuff - it'd probably taste fine but just grosses me out mentally. Like blended chicken. Nasty!

I lived on cottage cheese and pureed soups.  However, I really concentrated on hydration and sipping all day.

Abby,

I had surgery on 12/15. I start my next phase soon. I'm with you though. Really scared to have food. I feel safe on my protein drinks. Thanks for posting, it will be good to see what the other's say. Good luck on your journey.

Thanks! It's getting better for sure! The past few days I've had some beans and scrambled eggs. I just take it slowly and chew and chew. It's nice to get protein from food instead of the shakes. They were starting to gag me. :-)

I'm on puréed food for 4 weeks.  My favorite right now is fat free refried beans thinned with chicken broth with a little shredded cheese.  Blend everything together and then heat.

Oh good idea! I had refried beans but didn't use the broth. I'll have to try that.

I lived on refried beans with lowfat shredded cheese.
