My name is Wendy and I had my gastric bypass surgery on March 12, 2007.

I started at about 340 lbs, and I managed to get down to about 167 lbs ~ which lasted all of about an hour. : )

I have had some regain in the past year or tow, but it's *my* fault... 100% the choices I've made.  I'm doing my best to get back on the "straight and narrow."  Part of that, for me, involves getting back into the WLS "culture."

While I used to attend the monthly support group meeting at the hospital where I had my surgery, it was getting to the point where I didn't see the value of meeting with so many pre-ops or early post-ops.  The needs of long-term post-ops are different... our experience is different, our dailt reality is different.

I'm hoping that there are other long term post-ops (at least 1 year out of surgery, please) in the Bergen/Passaic/Essex Counties, NJ area that would like to get together... initially here online... to help one another along the path of our individual journeys.
