"One"derland it's been 20 yrs.

Today I am so excited. I stepped on the scale and it read 198 lbs. I jumped, yelled, screamed, shouted, and danced. I have not weighed less than 200 lbs. in more than 20 yrs. I can not describe the joy I felt. I am not at goal yet but this was well worth celebrating. You see I have held on to weight as a protection mechanism for so many years. As long as I was large I felt like no one could hurt me. So I held on to my weight and would not allow myself to lose but only so much. But when I had the sleeve in January I gave myself permission to not be afraid and to lose the weight. I can say that it has been 8 months and I am down almost 80 lbs.
