Hi to everyoneI had to stay an extra night in the hospital...but I'm home now. The surgery took a little bit longer than was expected because my stomach was 1 1/2 times larger than normal. Who would have known this is why I could never get full. So anyway, its gone now. The next morning, I was taken for my swallow/leak test. The test went fine and then when I sat back down in the wheelchair, I started having an allergic reaction to the barrium/iodine solution. To put it short, I couldn't breath. I started wheezing really loudly and couldn't push air in or out. Really scary. They put the oxygen on me and I was good. Took me back to the room and my surgeon was there. Then....it happened again. The doctor was confused because all of my stats looked great, I just couldn't breath. But, it subsided and all was good again.
So they decided that I should stay one more night. I'm home now and just trying my best to remember to sip and not gulp.
