Well I seem to have hit a nerve or several nerves on the OH main forum. There are at least two or more people very angry with me, so angry they have followed me onto other discussions to continue the arguments. I have decided to avoid that forum for a while. The sad thing is that I still don't understand why they are so angry. The whole argument this time started over diet soda. I simply stated that I was told by my surgeon, nut, pcp and everyone at Kaiser etc. that carbonated beverages are forever a no no. The reason given was the carbonation and the possibility that it could stretch the stomach. Apparently according to these people that is some evil myth that stupid doctors spread. They actually called my surgeon a hack. Now that was upsetting! These people will talk all this healthy eating and then tell me diet soda pop is good! Please...Well my rant is over. I don't know why I rubbed all of these people the wrong way. I even tried to retract and smooth it over, only to get shot down. Oh well I have chosen to walk away and agree to disagree. I just wish they would let it go too.
