2 month update
Mar 13, 2011
Well it has been a crazy ride the last 2 months. I feel very blessed to have had such a great medical care. Thank you Dr Schwartz for being able to do a Laproscopic procedure. I went home the day after surgery at #491. (Someone forgot to mention the ride home is HELL!) I had some pain the day after, but quit taking the pain pills on the 2nd day home. I resumed semi-normal activities on day 3(dart tourney and poker for 15 hours, over did it a bit) and went back to work after a week. Make sure you pay attention to your doctors offices discharge orders and not the hospitals. I ended up doing the liquid diet for a extra 4 days...LMAO...Life really returned to normal after a week other than normal bm's. Forgot to mention a real lack of energy2 weeks out
Check-ups with DR and NUT everything was good and they said I was in the range of weight loss they expected.
3 weeks out
I went to the state dart tourney and finished 5th.(The wifey won her first state title going to have to hear about that 1 for a long time) Beginning to try a few more foods, but still no appetite. Amazing how easy I run out of gas still.
5 weeks out
Went to a big dart tourney at Jackpot Junction and won 1 of my 3 events. Had my first experiences with eating away from home and feel I did a good job. I did throw up once because I didn't chew my food good enough.(3 times so far) Energy levels still are nowhere near before diet levels, but the pounds continue to fall off. Worked out a couple times on the treadmill. Still shocked at how fast I'm shrinking.

Decide to stop and get some clothes that fit to go out. I didn't know what size I was down to so I grabbed the size pants I wore 11 years ago and to my amazement they fit. Down at least 10 waist sizes and 2 shirt sizes. Yeah i was smiling all the way home. Joined the local gym with my wife this week and made it there 6 out of 7 days this week. Wow I have lost some muscle my weights I'm lifting are almost laughable. BM's are more normal but still not fun. Everything else is going as planned. I have tried more foods and still haven't had a dumping episode or fallen way off the diet track. Anybody have a good chili recipe? Also on the jerky hunt for the best around.
Here's the numbers form the scale
541 highest on a Dr's scale
491 surgery weight
426 3/12/11 weight
50 pounds lost PreOP
65 pounds since surgery on 1/12
115 pounds total
A special thanks to my wifey for everything and Moose,Groucho,Sally S, and the people on the MN and men's message boards on OH for there stories, suggestions, and insight.
