So there was indeed a stricture...

A size 6 stricture, which isn't a pinhole, but certainly small. To put it in perspective, the goal size is 18 (I'm assuming millimeters). Today he dilated it to 12. I'll have another procedure in a month to take it all the way up to 18. Not only the stricture, but also a whole hell of a lot of inflamation and a possible ulcer, so he biopsied the stuff as well. I have new prescriptions for prilosec for acid build-up and also something to take every time I eat which coats the pouch to reduce irritation. 

Right now, my throat is sore, and I'm still a wet dish towel from the drugs. The drugs weren't quite good enough. I remember a lot of the procedure, so I know my throat is sore because I kept vomiting around the equipment shoved down my throat. Ack. At least it's over for now. I'm such a baby when it come to pain.

So that's the story. It's not all in my head. The next few days will be very telling to see if it is easier for me to eat. I'm feeling very apprehensive about the whole eating thing, mostly because it'll be new for me. In a lot of ways, I've gotten off very easy since surgery and not being able to eat. There's a lot of new habits I didn't have to work on. So the next month or so will be very educational for me.
