I went to a seminar for Weight Loss Surgery because I was interested in a revision from where I had regained weight ...one of the surgeon's (Dr Malani) was there and after seeing some of my medical tests and results he said I needed to be in the ROSE Procedure Trail ...that was a week and a half again. Since then things have moved really rapidly .... I went yesterday for the Initial Eval and the H Pyloric breathing test. and it was Negative .... the PA saidi they already knew the size of my Pouch and Stoma ( it has to be stretched or dialated to a certain size to get in the Trial) because I had already had an Upper GI Series and the Upper EGD done and they had the results. She said UNOFFICIALLY i was accepted if I wanted it. I will have the OFFICIAL acceptance into the Trial after the EGD is done on Monday morning ... at that point they will schedule the surgery for probably 4/23 or 4/24 .......I am really excited because the insurance I have right now has an exclusion to WLS ....and this wont cost me anything .... I have heard ..Dr Weiss is an awesome Surgeon and has a great personality . I will find out for sure on Monday when he does the EGD.

Ok guess I need to put something this introduction since several people have looked at this profile.   I am a 44 yr old grandmother of 4 wonderful kids, 3 girls and 1 mischievious boy.  I started my WLS journey in September of 2002.   I down 75 lbs  from the 430lbs I had started at a year earlier.  But at this point was not able to keep the weight off so I started researching Weightloss Surgery.  Anyway it turned out that I had my surgery on 12/20/2002 compliments of Cigna HMO whom paid 100% of the surgery.  Since the surgery I got down to 189 which was great, however, I didnt remain with the support group and didnt keep up with the eating program and I regained 55 lbs.  I have now lost back down to 194 since 07/10/06.

Plastic surgery

Welllll I was not able to get funding for plastic surgery thru the insurance so I took out a 401K loan and paid for the Tummy Tuck and Breast Lift with the excission of the excess skin from the breast ....I had this done on 12/14/2006.  Since the surgery I have not had a migraine...I knew that was the reason I kept having those headaches...he took off a total of 7 inches of skin from the front of the breast to the middle of my back on each side ...I am still swollen but am feeling alot better ...Also because my iron was so low I had poor blood supply to the left breast and it became neucrotic ...and it had to be debried and is now healing really well ..especially since i got back on iron infusion.  I am now waiting for this to heal so I can get the thigh lift ....my plastic surgeon is gonna finance it for me in house so I wont have to pay any interest..thank goodness...HE IS GREAT ...am so glad i found Dr LeTard here in Knoxville...will UPDATE later

I am researching funding for plastic surgery.  I had the Panniculectomy done in June of 2003.   I have LOTS of skin and the thighs and TT and Breast, as well as, my upper arms have so muhc redundent skin that I KNOW that i am wearing at least 1-2 sizes larger than I should be.  I just hope that My husband's 401K plan administrator will sign off on the loan for the Plastic Surgery.  If he does then I will be able to get my PS really soon.  This is something i have only dreamed about.  I will keep you all updated
